Fashion for me is not just a business, but a form of expression and a revelation of identity. This is why it is very important to me. I sneaked into the fashion industry about 12 years ago as an apprentice, with the intention of making it a hobby, but it soon became a much bigger part of my life and my passport to reach the world. My designs are mostly cultural and modern, a blend of modern fashion in touch with cultural roots.
As the Creative Director of Eddybond International Ltd, my work has been featured in several fashion shows and exhibitions including the African Fashion Week, Scotland International Fashion Week, Pacific Africa Event, ChabsLondon, EverInVogue and Black History Month Charity Event. My latest collection titled “Laaste by Edi” received several media coverages by fashion blogs and news outlets in Africa and in the UK, such as Bella Naija Styles, Style Base Africa, Glam Squad Magazine, The voice online, Fashion Luxury, MMM media, Love Medway, Medway Matters, Kent online, etc. I am also a recipient of the Arts Council Endorsement for Global Talent.
